Embracing Humanism
Our UU sources include "Humanist teachings which counsel us to heed the guidance of reason and the results of science, and warn us against idolatries of the mind and spirit." A selfidentified "religious humanist," Intern Minister Millie Phillips will share why a humanist outlook continues to provide spiritual grounding - and even joyous inspiration - for many UUs and may offer a soul-saving antidote to the current idolatries of our culture.
