BROKEN IMAGES AND PRACTICAL CATS
In 1995, a Sixth Source was adopted by the UU General Assembly, adding to formally recognized roots of UU spirituality: "Spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature."This came after years of organizing, activism and agitation on the part of UU pagan women (and a few men), to open us to feminine imagery of the Divine and a deep ecological consciousness. Today we hear a pioneer of this movement, our own Rev. Shirley Ranck.
